GTT Secures LNG Carrier Tank Design Order from Jiangnan Shipyard
France's Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has been contracted for the tank design of four new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers destined for UAE-based ADNOC Logistics and Services.
France's Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has received an order from China's Jiangnan shipyard for the tank design of four new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers. The vessels are being built for ADNOC Logistics and Services (ADNOC L&S), the maritime logistics and shipping arm of ADNOC Group, based in the UAE.
Tank Design and Capacity
GTT will be responsible for designing the cryogenic tanks for all four vessels. Each carrier is specified to have a total capacity of 175,000 cubic metres. The design will incorporate GTT's Mark III Flex membrane containment system, as reported by Offshore Energy.
Delivery Schedule
The delivery of these four LNG carriers is anticipated to occur in the first half of 2029. This order follows a recent engagement where GTT Marine, a division of GTT, was selected to implement its integrated vessel performance solutions across a fleet of LNG carriers operated for Petronas, according to Offshore Energy.
