Where AI is used

We use AI assistance to summarise approved source material into a first draft, to suggest headlines and metadata, and to flag facts that need checking. AI never selects what publishes.

Hard limits

• No AI-drafted article is published without human editorial review and approval.
• AI output is constrained to the attributed source material; invented facts, quotes or statistics are grounds for rejection.
• AI is never used to generate allegations, accusations or claims about named parties.
• AI-assisted articles are labelled on the page.

Verification

Each draft carries a verification status. Articles that cannot be verified against their source are rejected or held. Fabrication checks compare every claim in a draft to the source text.

Accountability

A named human editor is accountable for every published article. AI assistance does not reduce that accountability.
